Navdeep is teaming up with Loukya Entertainments, the production company behind the 2012 hit Bedurulanka, for his upcoming film Dhandoraa. The film was officially launched on Wednesday at Ramanaidu Studios, with prominent producer Naga Vamsi attending the pooja ceremony.
Loukya Entertainments, led by Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni, is making its fifth film with Dhandoraa. The makers unveiled a thought-provoking concept poster, which carries the tagline: "When caste is based on the work you do, if the work changes, shouldn't the caste also change? A tale of traditions, conflicts, and change. Dhandoraa is here to ignite conversations and reflections." The film is set to explore the clash between outdated traditions and social change, with a satirical undertone.
Directed by Muralikanth, Dhandoraa is a rural drama set in Telangana and aims to tackle the issue of caste through a narrative that blends social critique with humor. Alongside Navdeep, the film stars Sivaji, Rahul Ramakrishna, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, and Anusha.
On the technical front, Dhandoraa boasts a talented crew, with Venkat R Shakamuri handling cinematography, Garry BH as the editor, and Mark K Robin composing the music. Krathi Priyam serves as the art director, and Rekha Boghavarapu is the costume designer. The shoot is set to begin soon, promising a fresh perspective on rural life and the changing tides of tradition in modern society.
