The eagerly awaited pan-Indian film Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is officially scheduled for release on February 7, 2025. The announcement was made at a special event on Tuesday, where director Chandoo Mondeti shared that the final 10 days of shooting will soon be completed, followed by extensive promotional efforts and post-production work.
Thandel is set against the backdrop of the Srikakulam coast and tells a compelling love story. Naga Chaitanya plays a fisherman who is captured by the Pakistani army, while Sai Pallavi portrays his romantic interest. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, known for his National Award-winning Karthikeya 2, the film is produced by Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas, with Geetha Arts presenting it.
The film features music by the acclaimed Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Shamdat, and production design by Srinagendra Tangala. Thandel marks the second collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and director Chandoo Mondeti, following their successful 2016 project Premam, a remake of the Malayalam film.
Though initially slated for a Sankranti release, Thandel will now hit theaters worldwide on February 7, 2025, promising to be a major cinematic event for fans.
