The coming-of-age love story Prabuthwa Junior Kalashala is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Written and directed by Sreenath Raju, the film made its theatrical debut on June 1. It features a talented cast, including Pranav Preetham, Shagnashri Venun, Sri Munichandra, Mandapeta Mallika Jagula, Bombay Padma, Teja Goud, and Ram Patas.
Produced by Bhuvan Reddy Kovvuri, the film showcases music by Karthik Rodriguez and cinematography by Nikhil Surendran, with editing handled by Sreenath Raju. The narrative centers around Vasu, a diligent school student who becomes infatuated with his classmate, Kumari, causing him to lose his previously strong academic performance.
While the film has garnered attention for its visuals, a review notes that it suffers from misogynistic themes, a common issue in many Telugu films. The review highlights that even the film's aesthetic appeal cannot overshadow this significant concern.
Prabuthwa Junior Kalashala aims to resonate with young audiences navigating the complexities of love and ambition.
