The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, has become a massive box office success, breaking multiple records on its opening day. The film, which released on Thursday, has grossed a record Rs 165 crore globally on Day 1, with Rs 67 crore nett from the Hindi version alone. This surpasses the opening collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which collected Rs 65 crore nett.
The film also earned Rs 98 crore across various regional languages, including Rs 85 crore from Telugu, contributing to its monumental total. This record-breaking Day 1 collection makes Pushpa 2 the highest opening Indian film ever, ahead of previous record holders like RRR (Rs 156 crore) and KGF 2 (Rs 116 crore).
It’s worth noting that these figures exclude the Rs 10 crore Pushpa 1 earned from special premiere shows. With early estimates suggesting a similar figure for Day 2, Pushpa 2 is set for an extraordinary run at the box office.
