On Wednesday, Rana Daggubati officially launched Samyuktha Menon’s new thriller with a traditional puja ceremony. The film, produced as Production No. 6 by Hasya Movies, is directed and written by Yogesh KMC. While the project is currently untitled, Menon is set to portray a compelling character that promises to capture audiences' attention.
The film is a joint venture between Hasya Movies and Maganti Pictures, with Rajesh Danda as the producer. The art direction is managed by Brahma Kadali, and editing is handled by Chota K Prasad.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Samyuktha Menon remarked, “The fact that this film is happening is a miracle. They have been trying to give me a narration for this script, but shooting kept me busy. Finally, I heard the full narration recently, and it was spectacular. The way director Yogesh provided detailed descriptions for each scene made me realize the number of years he must have worked on this.”
Menon also discussed the 'female-centric' label often associated with such films, stating, “I am fond of the tag ‘female-centric.’ Whenever we get a female-centric subject, it’s either a thriller or an empowerment-related subject. I always wonder—why can’t we have a normal story with a female lead? This is one such film where the lead is female, but it could just as easily be played by a male actor. I was impressed by that.”
Samyuktha Menon and Rana Daggubati previously appeared together as a couple in the Saagar K Chandra-directed film Bheemla Nayak.
