Ahead of the release, director Shankar and music director Thaman S shared insights into their innovative work on the song.

The upcoming romantic track “Naa Naa Hyraanaa” from Ram Charan’s much-anticipated Game Changer is set to drop on November 28. Ahead of the release, director Shankar and music director Thaman S shared insights into their innovative work on the song.

Shankar explained that the romantic theme of the song inspired him to experiment with new techniques, saying, "When someone is in love, everything looks different, even the colours. I decided to shoot it using Infrared, a style rarely seen in our films. The colours transform in a unique way, adding a magical feel to the visuals." Shankar also recounted how his DOP, S Tirru, was initially concerned about capturing accurate skin tones but was thrilled by the ethereal, dreamy effect produced by the infrared style.

Thaman S spoke about his musical contributions, revealing how he used unconventional tones to create a new audio experience. “When I saw the infrared photos, I wanted to incorporate burnt tones, which sound mellow and soothing when translated into music. I used monotones to create a stereo effect, adding depth to the sound. This collaboration with Shankar inspired me to try new music programming techniques," he said. He also praised Shankar for introducing the tabla into the composition, blending western and Carnatic sounds seamlessly.

This collaboration between Shankar and Thaman S marks a significant milestone for both, as Game Changer is their first joint project. The film, a political thriller, is set for release on January 10, 2025, and promises to be one of the most anticipated films of the year.
