The makers of Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, have officially announced that the highly anticipated period epic will be released worldwide on April 25, 2025. The film is based on the mythological story of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. In the lead-up to the film's release, the makers have been unveiling the first-look posters of various characters, building excitement among fans.
In addition to Vishnu Manchu, the star-studded ensemble cast includes Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Akshay Kumar, Sarath Kumar, and Kajal Agarwal. A special surprise is in store for audiences with a cameo appearance by Prabhas, which is expected to add to the buzz.
Kannappa is produced by 24 Frames Factory and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film boasts impressive cinematography by Seldon Chau, editing by Anthony Gonsalvez, and a musical score by Stephen Devassy. The high-octane action sequences, including epic war scenes, are choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee. The film's teaser made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and the makers plan to release it in major pan-Indian languages, including Telugu, Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
