The National Investigation Agency has filed a detailed 7,500 page chargesheet in connection with the Red Fort blast case that took place in New Delhi in November 2025. The chargesheet was submitted before the Special NIA Court at Patiala House and names 10 accused individuals allegedly associated with Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, which is considered an affiliate of Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent.
According to investigators, the blast occurred on November 10, 2025 and involved a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device. The high intensity explosion reportedly killed 11 people and injured several others. The incident also caused extensive damage to nearby vehicles, buildings and public infrastructure around the Red Fort area.
The NIA stated that the investigation involved extensive evidence collection and examination over several months. Officials said the chargesheet includes 588 witness statements, 395 documentary records and more than 200 material exhibits connected to the case. Investigators also reportedly gathered digital evidence and forensic reports during the probe.
Authorities allege that the accused were involved in planning and coordinating the attack using organized methods and specialized materials. According to the investigation, electronic circuits and laboratory equipment were procured through online and offline channels. Officials claim the accused used these materials for preparing explosive devices linked to the attack.
The agency further stated that the accused allegedly maintained links with extremist networks operating under Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. Investigators believe the group was attempting to carry out activities aimed at creating fear and disturbing public order. Security agencies have continued to monitor possible links between the accused and other extremist elements.
Following the blast, multiple central and local security agencies launched an extensive investigation. Surveillance footage, digital communication records and forensic evidence reportedly played a major role in identifying the accused. Several raids and arrests were conducted in different locations during the investigation process.
The Red Fort area in Delhi is considered one of the country’s most historically significant and high security zones. The incident had raised major security concerns across the nation and prompted authorities to strengthen surveillance and anti terror measures in important public locations.
Legal experts believe the filing of the chargesheet marks a significant stage in the investigation process. The Special NIA Court is expected to examine the evidence and proceed with further hearings in the case. The accused may face charges under various sections related to terrorism, criminal conspiracy, murder and unlawful activities.
Security officials have reiterated that agencies remain committed to preventing terror related incidents and maintaining national security. Investigative agencies are also continuing efforts to identify any additional persons or networks connected to the case.
The incident had drawn widespread attention from political leaders, security experts and the public due to its location and the scale of the explosion. Authorities have since increased monitoring and security arrangements around major public monuments and government locations in Delhi.
