Speaking at a development-focused event, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized the central role of youth in achieving the national goal of Viksit Bharat, a vision for a fully developed India.

In his keynote speech, Sinha described the human mind as the greatest force in the universe, capable of solving the world’s most complex challenges when directed with purpose and conviction. “The mind is the universe’s greatest miracle. The Viksit Bharat initiative, promoted by the Government of India, aims to create a modern, inclusive, and self-reliant nation through advances in education, innovation, technology, and governance. Sinha said that the youth must be the torchbearers of this vision, contributing through academic excellence, community service, and entrepreneurship.

Referring to examples from history and science, the LG pointed out how young minds have often been at the forefront of change. “Swami Vivekananda once said that a strong mind is the foundation of a strong character. We must nurture mental strength along with moral courage to lead India into its next era of progress,” he added.

Sinha also emphasized the need for educational institutions to encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and ethical leadership. He called for a shift from rote learning to value-based, innovation-driven education that prepares students for real-world challenges. “We must not only prepare for jobs but also be ready to create opportunities for others,” he said.

Students at the event interacted with the Lieutenant Governor, sharing their ideas for community development, skill training, and entrepreneurship. Several students presented innovative projects aligned with sustainable development, digital technology, and rural empowerment.

The LG commended their efforts and assured continued support from the administration in creating opportunities for youth in every sector, especially in remote and underprivileged areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He also praised the resilience of students in the region, many of whom have excelled despite difficult circumstances.

Sinha concluded by urging young citizens to stay focused, avoid distractions, and commit themselves to lifelong learning. “Each one of you is a builder of modern India. The future of the country lies not only in economic growth but in the strength of its youth and the sharpness of their minds,” he said.

The event was attended by educators, government officials, and students from across Jammu and Kashmir. It marked a continued effort by the administration to involve youth in governance, policy, and national mission building, aligned with the larger goal of making India a global leader in the coming decades.
